Built by sideloaders, for sideloaders
APK2Down started in 2017 when its founder — an Android developer who traveled through regions with poor Play Store coverage — grew tired of the state of APK sites: files repackaged with adware, version histories missing, and no way to verify that what you downloaded was what the developer shipped. The site was built as the counter-example. Every file hosted here is the original, verified, and presented with enough information to check it yourself before you install anything.
What the mirror provides
The library holds over a million verified APK files across every category of Android software, from current releases to the older versions users need when an update breaks a device or strips a feature. Every upload is scanned by multiple independent engines, published with its checksum so integrity can be confirmed locally, and served directly from a CDN — no forced registration, no download-wait pages, no installer wrappers that quietly add toolbars. Listing pages show version history, target SDK, permissions, and what changed between releases.
How the library stays clean
Files are re-scanned on a schedule, listings are removed when developers object, and the site's policy is explicit: original files only, developer takedowns honored quickly, and no monetization that touches the download itself. The checksum is yours to verify; the scan results are yours to read; the choice is yours to make.
- Multi-engine scans and published checksums on every file
- Full version history, permissions, and change notes per listing
- No registration, no wait pages, no installer wrappers
APK2Down serves Android users who sideload deliberately — travelers, testers, and owners of devices the Play Store forgot. If you need a verified APK mirror that treats you like an adult, download here.
